Plan Background and Goals
Tuolumne County is updating its Local Road Safety Plan (LRSP) and Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Action Plan to identify and address systemic safety risks, reduce fatal and serious injury collisions, and align with applicable federal and state transportation safety priorities.
- Update existing plans to strengthen strategies that reduce fatal and serious injury collisions
- Refine plan recommendations and strategies to identify and address unsafe speeds and improper turning movements
- Improve safety and reduce fatal and serious injury collisions on the roadway network
- Align updated plans to improve competitiveness for applicable funding opportunities
- Prioritized list of safety projects for Tuolumne County
- Intersection Control Evaluations at unsignalized intersections through collision data analysis
- Countywide safety corridor and speed analysis to identify corridor needs and potential safety treatments
