We first took inventory of all of the existing sidewalks in Napa County, as well as the gaps in the sidewalk network.

To prioritize which gap closure projects we chose to include in the proposed network, we used the following criteria:

1. The sidewalk gap is within 500-feet of a Point of Interest (POI), which includes parks, schools, transit stops, etc.
2. The sidewalk gap is along an existing or proposed bicycle improvement.
3. Prioritize completing a sidewalk on a single side of the street where gaps are present.
